At any given time, they may look behind-the-scenes at Johnson Space Center (JSC) and other NASA facilities around the country to see astronauts train or see a shuttle launch via satellite link from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. During Missions, Mission Status Center shares communication between JSC's Mission Control and the astronauts orbiting on board the shuttle.
